Hyntle Barn Clinic will be replacing our offering at Clarice House, Ipswich from the 1st August 2015. We are Conveniently situated just 3 miles from the main junctions to the A14, 4.5 miles from the center of Ipswich and 5 miles from Hadleigh.

Osteopathy

Starts by looking at the individual, their whole body and their lifestyle, in order to assess the possible route cause of an issue. Every person is unique and so every treatment is different.

What is important is that osteopathy looks further than the obvious surface problem. It works to prevent and manage the root cause of your pain to help you return your body to its natural state of health and optimum function. It’s a hands-on, sympathetic and respectful treatment.

Acupuncture

Enhances the natural flow of energy (qi) and hormones around the body. The theory behind acupuncture is that it is a treatment that helps restore the body’s natural flow of energy via a system of channels under the skin.

When your body’s flow of ‘qi’ is impaired, illness occurs. Acupuncture needles are inserted into specific points along these channels it helps to restore and rebalance the body’s flow and help illness to be resolved.

Massage Therapy

Looks to realign deep layers of muscle and connective tissue. When we get muscle tension or injure ourselves we create bands of rigid painful tissue in the muscle. These are called adhesions and they block our circulation, limit our movement, create inflammation and ultimately cause pain. Deep tissue massage focuses on breaking down these adhesions and restoring circulation to relieve pain and restore movement.

Personal Training

To us this is more than just fitness, its your well-being pit-crew. Personal training is about getting the body and mind living with vitality and maintaining the balance that allows for sustainable health.

It’s a team that knows what you and your body requires to be healthy and helps you learn and listen to what your body is telling you. Personal training is specific to you as an individual and will set you up with a game plan to optimise and maintain your health.

Nutrition

Understanding nutrition and your relationship with food can change and positively effect many aspects of your lifestyle. Nutrition advice can help in many ways; it can help break weight loss plateaus, improve athletic performance, up energy levels, boost immunity, improve digestive health, influence sleep and mood, transform skin and hair and much more.

Nutrition is an important regenerative process that can completely change the way you live your life. It is far more than looking at the calories in versus the calories out. By assessing your eating routine a specialist dietician can identify what is holding you back from reaching your goals and guide you in the right direction.

Pilates

We have teamed up with at Pulse Pilates and Fitness to deliver a unique approach to Pilates as part of our regenerate and relax offering at Hyntle Barn Clinic.

Enjoy small group classes of up to 3 people, with each class tailored to meet your individual needs and requirements. Each class uses a combination of mat and reformer based Pilates to provide an all over body workout that works your muscles through a large range of motion. Reformer Pilates allows you to adjust and control the level of intensity of your workout by selecting the springs on your reformer machine, making it a safe and effective way to exercise and regenerate.

Tom Parry

Tom specialises in Osteopathy and Acupuncture and since qualifying in 2008 from the British School of Osteopathy, has been helping a wide variety of people and conditions with very rewarding results.

Tom’s personality means he never sits still and is constantly striving to deliver the most comprehensive and up to date application of both of these specialisms. He is registered with the British Medical Acupuncture Society after completing their foundation course and specialist pregnancy and childbirth course.

As the creator of Parry Physical Health and an advocate of total wellbeing, Tom has a clear vision “Hyntle Barn Clinic is a new location for Parry Physical Health and I am excited about bringing a team of specialists together to provide a support network to help your body keep up with your life.”

Annie Nunn

Annie comes from a background of sport having a personal passion for field hockey. This led her to study a sports science degree at St Mary’s University, where she qualified in 2007.

Annie then took her passion to Spain where she trained and qualified as a personal trainer, returning to work with many high profile sports teams. Working alongside other specialists ignited her passion for rehabilitation and well-being, so in 2012 she completed a sports massage diploma.

Combining both of her skill sets, Annie has developed a great understanding of the body and what it takes to regenerate and train to prevent illness and injury. She will be helping people to reconnect to what it feels like to be truly healthy and working to sustain it through nutritional advice, personal training and massage.

Chris Lawson

Chris has been working in the fitness industry for several years and is well regarded in Suffolk as the founder and head coach of CrossFit-ISC. As an accomplished obstacle course and CrossFit competitor, he has helped many people achieve incredible performance goals.

Chris is an enthusiastic and dedicated trainer with a great understanding of strength and conditioning technique. He is an expert in finding new and improved training programs to help people reach their goals and get the most from their body. His ability to help others by increasing their confidence and performance is second to none.

Chris will be at Hyntle Barn a few days a week helping our members in between his busy CrossFit schedule. He will be working with our members to find inspiration to make ongoing small but significant improvements to their fitness and physical health.

Anna Groom

Anna is a registered specialist Dietitian, with specialist areas being Paediatrics, Weight Management and Sports Nutrition. She graduated from Surrey University in 2002 and has worked in Norfolk for 9 years before moving and working within the NHS in Essex as a specialist paediatric dietitian.

With a wealth of experience working with clients of all ages with weight management, food intolerances and nutritional assessments, Anna is highly trained to identify potential nutritional deficiencies. She has also worked at both a local and international level within sports nutrition - in sports from archery to rugby to rowing across the channel. Anna has taken her specialism further to become ISAK qualified, which allows her to accurately assess body fat composition.

We are pleased to offer appointments with Anna at Hyntle Barn Clinic to help you achieve your nutritional goals and help your body to keep up with your life.

Who we are

We are a small team of people working closely together to assist our patients in helping their body to keep up with their individual lives. We have a very clear treatment journey that patients can enter and leave at any stage, or travel around to manage their health. This treatment journey also forms our ethos: Rehabilitate, Regenerate, Relax.

We are not a gym or a quick fix clinic. We support many sports teams and gyms with the rehabilitation of their clients and team members, as we work with our patients to find the root cause of an issue, to help achieve their goals and to assist their body in becoming resistant to the everyday stresses and pressures of life.

Where will you work?

You will work in two clinic locations in Suffolk; one located in Hintlesham (near Ipswich) the other in Long Melford. You will be working in friendly environments that will evolve your professional technique and service delivery. You will work closely with team members in both clinic locations and learn from the experience available from others.

Vacancy

Associate Osteopath.

This is a full time position with a requirement to work in two clinic locations in Suffolk, alongside our team of healthcare practitioners. You will be building a list of patients from current overflow and continued expansion of our clinics.

We are looking for:

  • Great manual and assessment skills.
  • Sound knowledge of rehabilitation.
  • Experience of the treatment of sports injury.
  • Acupuncture and/or pediatrics
  • A willingness to learn
  • If possible a minimum 1-2 years experience (new graduate applications will be considered).
  • A candidate who is keen to work as part of a team.
  • Enthusiasm and an interest in helping to develop our team.
  • Willingness to contribute to our in house CPD program.

Must have/be:

  • Full driving license
  • Available to work 4-6days per week
  • Prepared to work alternate Saturdays.
